QB Randall Mackey, RB Jeff Scott Suspended By Ole Miss
Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt announced Tuesday that his starting quarterback, Randall Mackey, and leading rusher, Jeff Scott, would be suspended for at least one game for violations of team rules, according to Hugh Kellenberger of ClarionLedger.com. Reserve wide receiver Korvic Neat was also suspended.
Nutt did not specify what rules were violated and left open the possibility that the trio would miss the rest of the season.
Ole Miss is currently riding a five-game losing streak, and Mackey was the starter for all five of those games as well as the team's last win, at Fresno State on the first day of October.
