The NFL has fined Detroit Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch for his hit on a runner who was already on the ground, ESPN reports.

The $7,500 fine stems from a play in Sunday’s matchup against the Chicago Bears, which Bears won 37-13.

The hit was not penalized during the game, however, all plays with potential violations are reviewed by individuals in the league’s football operations. The Lions have earned a reputation for their hard and sometimes questionable hits. Detroit Lions star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is one of the more prolific hard-hitters on the team that has been subject to fines and penalties this season.
