Seahawks Tackle James Carpenter Has Torn ACL

Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle James Carpenter, who injured himself during Wednesday’s practice, reportedly has a torn ACL, according to a tweet from Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.

Carpenter was the team’s first round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, his timetable for return at this point is unclear.

The Seahawks, who are coming off of an upset victory over the 6-3 Baltimore Ravens, also recently lost starting right guard John Moffitt to season-ending surgery as the result of a torn PCL and MCL. This may serve as a devastating blow for Seattle whose offensive line had helped running back Marshawn Lynch run for over 100 yards over the past two consecutive weeks.
