Prince Amukamara Cleared To Practice, May Debut This Sunday
New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara has received full clearance to practice today, according to a tweet from the team’s official feed.
The rookie cornerback may debut in his first NFL game this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles after missing 14 weeks, including training camp, due to a broken left foot.
Head coach Tom Coughlin said that the first-round pick must prove he can “assimilate himself to the defense” before climbing up the ranks to a start position. The former Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year tallied 59 tackles and one sack as a senior at the University of Nebraska.
