Report: Eagles' QB Michael Vick Out Sunday

Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick will not play Sunday against the New York Giants, according to a report in the Wilmington (DE) News Journal. Vince Young is expected to start in his place.

Both head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Marty Morningwheg had said this week that they hoped Vick could play through his rib injury. But the paper reported Friday that Vick will not play.

Vick broke two ribs last week against the Arizona Cardinals, but he finished the game. He did not practice at all this week.

The Eagles (3-6) are in desperate need of a win, especially against inter-divisional rival New York. The Giants beat the Eagles 29-16 in Week 3.
