The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired former Colorado Rockies utility infielder Ty Wigginton, according to the Rockies' official Twitter-feed. Colorado will receive either a player to be named later or cash.

The Rockies and Phillies will split Wigginton's $4 million dollar salary, and the player to be named can be exhanged within six months. Wigginton, who has played for the Mets, Pirates, Rays, Astros, Orioles and Rockies, batted .242 last season with 15 home runs for Colorado.
