University of Hawaii Being Investigated For Point Shaving

The University of Hawaii football team is under investigation by the Honolulu Police Department following accusations of point shaving, according to Keoki Kerr of KITV4 News in Honolulu.

The accusations were made via anonymous letter, according to UH spokeswoman Lynne Waters, quoted in the report. The letter was actually received by the University, who promptly alerted the police and provided them with a copy of the letter. According to Waters, "UH has alerted the NCAA about the anonymous letter and its contents and, in discussions with them, has been informed that it is 'doing exactly what you need to be doing' in this situation."

No specifics were released about which players, if any, were named in the letter.
