Chicago Bulls May Be Interested in Free Agent Caron Butler

Free agent Caron Butler worked out in Chicago this morning, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribute tweeted. It is believed that the Chicago Bulls are interested in pursuing the 6’7” forward.

NBA team executives and player agents were able to begin discussions Nov. 30. However, all NBA teams, including the Bulls, are not clear to make roster moves until Dec. 9, when the abbreviated free agency period begins.

Butler played for the NBA championship Dallas Mavericks in 2010-2011, but appeared in only 29 regular season games due to injury. The nine-year-veteran was drafted in the first round by the Miami Heat, who the Mavericks defeated for the NBA championship title last season.
