Dallas Mavericks forward Tyson Chandler said Wednesday that he is exploring other options because he does not expect to return to the Mavs, according to ESPN.com.

"I really think I'm going to be on a new team come training camp," Chandler told ESPN.com. "I'm really taking a hard look at all of my options, trying to see what best suits me."

Many teams around the NBA have assumed that Chandler is a lock to return to Dallas, but he insists that is not accurate. Chandler told ESPN that he would like to stay in Dallas, but he admitted that he was upset that the team did not offer him a contract extension.

Chandler added that he hopes to be with a team soon. "I would like this to be settled by early next week," Chandler said. "I want to be in camp with my new teammates as soon as possible."
