Caron Butler To Meet With The Clippers For Second Day In A Row

Free agent Caron Butler is scheduled to meet with the Los Angeles Clippers for the second time in two days today, according to ESPN Los Angeles.

"Caron was really happy with the meeting," Butler's agent Raymond Brothers told ESPN Los Angeles. "We were really impressed by (general manager) Neil Olshey and (coach) Vinny Del Negro. I think they've got a good young team that can win. Caron had a really good feeling about it."

Butler, who missed a large chunk of last season’s championship run by the Dallas Mavericks due to an injury, played one year in Los Angeles for the Lakers in 2004-05. Butler has also already had one meeting with the Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks, and is expected to also meet with the New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons, according to ESPN.

Last season Butler averaged 15 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in just 29 contests for the Mavericks. His best season came in 2007-08 when he averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists for the Washington Wizards.
