Cincinnati Reds “Very Interested” In Jair Jurrjens

The Cincinnati Reds are “very interested” in trading for Atlanta Braves starter Jair Jurrjens, according to Jon Heyman. Heyman reports 10 teams are involved in potentially trading for Jurrjens.

Reds general manager Walt Jocketty said this weekend that the Reds have identified six starting pitchers as potential trade targets, according to John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Fay speculated Jurrjens was one of those targets.

Jurrjens, 25, went 13-6 last season with a 2.96 ERA for the Braves.
