Minnesota Twins To Re-Sign Matt Capps

The Minnesota Twins have re-signed reliever Matt Capps to a one-year deal, according to Jon Heyman. The deal is pending a physical, according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com.

Capps, 28, was acquired from the Washington Nationals for catcher Wilson Ramos in July 2010 and posted a 2.00 ERA and recorded 16 saves that season for the Twins. He returned to Minnesota in 2011 and had a 4.25 ERA in 69 appearances, recording 15 saves.
