A high ranking Chicago Bears source has told ESPN that they have no interest in signing former NFL quarterback Brett Favre.

Earlier this week, it was reported by ESPNChicago.com that Favre would consider returning to the field if the Bears gave him a call.  The source told the site that Favre has stayed in shape and would be physically able to return, but may decide to stay retired. The Bears are currently without starting quarterback Jay Cutler due to a broken thumb. The club have lost the past two games with Caleb Hanie behind center,  they now stand at 7-5 for the season.
