Celtics Trade Glen Davis To Magic For Brandon Bass

The Boston Celtics will execute a sign and trade with forward Glen Davis in a deal that will send Orlando Magic forward Brandon Bass to Boston, a source has told Marc. J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

Davis, 25, played a large role coming off the bench for the Celtics last season. The six-foot-nine big man averaged 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in 29.5 minutes per game for Boston.  The club acquired him via trade after the Seattle SuperSonics originally drafted him in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft.

Bass, 26, saw time as both a starter and a reserve in 2010-11. The Six-foot-eight forward averaged 11.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game for the Magic. Bass was originally drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in the 2005 NBA Draft.
