Oakland A's pitchers Trevor Cahill and Craig Breslow are on their way to join the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to Joe Stiglich of the Contra Costa Times.  In return the A's will receive pitchers Jarrod Parker and Ryan Cook and outfielder Collin Cowgill.

Cahill, who projects as a third starter in Arizona's rotation, is the centerpiece of the deal.  In 2010, Cahill was an All-Star and finished ninth in Cy Young voting after finishing the season with a 2.97 ERA.  The right-hander's 2011 was slightly less impressive, but he started went 12-14 through 34 starts and finished the season with a 4.16 ERA. The most significant piece coming back to the A's is Parker, the former ninth overall pick in the 2007 draft.  Despite missing the 2010 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, Parker remained one of the top prospects in the Diamondbacks' organization.
