The New York Knicks will sign veteran guard Mike Bibby to a one-year, $1.4 million contract, according to ESPN.com.

"I've been trying for about six years to get him playing for (coach Mike) D'Antoni, but at the time this guy named [Steve] Nash was blocking us," Bibby’s agent, David Falk, told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard. "I've always felt Mike would flourish in his offense." In his career, Bibby has averaged 15.2 points and 5.7 assists per game. He spent last season with Atlanta, Washington and Miami, averaging 8.6 points and 5.7 assists per game.
