New Orleans Hornets' point guard Chris Paul was poised to move to Los Angeles to join the Clippers earlier Monday, but the deal fell through after the NBA -- which owns the Hornets -- asked for too much in return. Now, however, sources have indicated to ESPN.com that the deal may be a possibility again.

Los Angeles general manager Neil Olshey said Monday that the deal could be renewed if some of the details were altered.

"Everything's over until it's reborn again," Olshey told ESPN. "I'm not going to drag this out. New Orleans made a fair offer on their end. We didn't think it was something we wanted to pursue at this point and we move on." Perhaps as security, the Clippers signed veteran point guard Chauncey Billups earlier Monday.
