McRoberts, 24, averaged 7.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in a limited role with the Indiana Pacers last season. The move by the Lakers was believed to have been made to regain some size after trading Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend. It was reported previously that McRoberts would be part of a sign-and-trade deal that would help the Pacers acquire O.J. Mayo from the Memphis Grizzlies, however that deal fell through over the weekend.
