Sources have told ESPN that the Los Angeles Lakers are still angling to land all-star point guard Chris Paul.

"The Lakers are definitely still in this," a source told ESPN.

Paul looked destined for the Los Angeles Clippers Monday, but the New Orleans Hornets -- a franchise owned by the NBA -- was asking for too much. Still, the Clippers are very much alive in negotiations for Paul, as well. The report states, in fact, that the NBA would much prefer to send Paul to the Clippers, not the Lakers.
