Dog Named 'Tebow' Makes Drug Bust

Tim Tebow has done plenty of amazing things recently -- enough to wind up on the cover of last week's Sports Illustrated -- but they've mostly been confined to the world of professional football, not crimefighting.  Instead, it's a dog bearing the same name that's stopping drug smugglers, according to The Smoking Gun.

Describing the case of a Puerto Rican man charged with arrested at Orlando International Airport for allegedly trying to smuggle a kilo of cocaine into the United States, the Smoking Gun reports:

The plot was disrupted when a drug detection canine named "Tebow" alerted to the “odor of illegal narcotics” coming from a suitcase that Weslie Morales, 20, picked up off a luggage carousel.

According to the report, Morales offered to help the investigators capture bigger targets, and was released from jail on a $25,000 bond.
