The Arizona Diamondbacks and free-agent outfielder Jason Kubel have agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract, MLB.com reports.

The Diamondbacks were not known to be in the market for an outfielder with a strong trio in Gerardo Parra, Chris Young and Justin Upton. The 29-year-old had played his entire MLB career with the Minnesota Twins. Over seven seasons, Kubel had a .271 average, 104 home runs and 429 RBIs.
