The University of Hawaii has hired Norm Chow as their new head coach, according to CBS Sports.

Chow, a Honolulu native, has served over 30 years as an assistant coach in college and the NFL. Most recently he has served as the offensive coordinator for Utah in 2011, and held the same position at UCLA from 2008 to 2010. Chow’s NFL experience as an offensive coordinator came with the Tennessee Titans from 2005-2007.

The bulk of Chows coaching experience came as an assistant coach for Brigham Young University where he served in multiple positions from 1973-1999. Chow was a candidate to replace June Jones at Hawaii in 2008 as well.
