Los Angeles Galaxy star David Beckham called the reports that he has signed with French club Paris-Saint Germain “premature” on Wednesday, according to the Galaxy’s website.

"No agreement has been reached with any club yet, talks of a deal are premature," said a statement issued through Beckham’s representatives. "David has yet to make a final decision on his future."

French newspaper L’Equipe had Beckham on the cover with the headline that read “All set for Beckham” and another paper (Le Parisien) cover read “He has said yes,” according to the website. Reports said he was due to make around $1 million a month for a 18-month contract.

According to the website, the Galaxy has been fighting to re-sign Beckham, whose five-year contract with the club ends this year. Beckham was named the MLS Comeback Player of the Year this season.
