The Washington Nationals  have agreed to terms with Mark DeRosa on a contract, the deal is pending a physical, according to Bill Ladson of MLB.com

DeRosa is expected to serve as a utility player for the Nationals. He will likely come off the bench. The 36-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the San Francisco Giants. He hit .279 with 12 RBIs in 47 games in 2011. In his career, DeRosa has hit .272 with 93 home runs.
