Stevenson, 30, averaged 5.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in 72 contests with the Dallas Mavericks last season. His contract with the Nets means he has now played with five different NBA teams.
Stevenson will compete with Anthony Marrow and Sundiata Gaines for playing time at the shooting guard position in New Jersey. The 11-year-veteran has tied for the NBA lead in games played three times, playing all 82 games in each season from 2005 to 2008.
