The Boston Celtics have waived forward Michael Sweetney and guard Gilbert Brown, according to the team's official Twitter feed.
Sweetney, 29, spent four years in the NBA before being out of the league for a couple of years. He was asked to attend training camp with the Celtics in 2009, but he was waived later that same year. Brown, 24, graduated from Pittsburgh in 2011 and signed with a German team during the summer. He returned to the states after the lockout ended and was invited to Celtics training camp.
