Mike Bibby will make his regular season debut tonight with the New York Knicks, according to the team’s official Twitter account.

The Knicks added Mike Bibby shortly after the NBA lockout ended. The veteran point guard was signed to help add depth to the Knicks backcourt after they waived Chauncey Billups in order to make room under the salary cap for big man Tyson Chandler.

Last season Bibby averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game both as a starter and a reserve for the Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, and Miami Heat. Despite nine-career NBA playoff appearances, Bibby will be searching for his first NBA title this season with the Knicks.
