Eric Gordon Says Clippers Lied About Trading Him To Hornets

The new-look New Orleans Hornets have lost three straight games, and Eric Gordon, the cornerstone piece of the deal that sent Chris Paul to Los Angeles and began the team's rebuilding effort, has watched all three from the bench, out with a sore knee.

The season is still young, but already, Gordon isn't happy.

Gordon expressed his frustration with being traded in a report today from Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports, saying that Clips executive Neil Olshey deceived him about his future in L.A.

"All you do is take the man’s word and take that he said that no one is going to go anywhere," Gordon said. "To completely lie like that is something unprofessional."

The Hornets originally planned to send Paul to the Lakers on Dec. 8, but that trade was nixed by league offices. The Hornets then tried the Clippers -- that deal fell apart on Dec. 12, at which point Gordon claims Olshey told him he wasn't going anywhere. Then the deal went through on Dec. 14, and Gordon was shipped to New Orleans.

Olshey denies lying to the 23-year-old guard.
