Eric Gordon Expected To Miss 2-3 Weeks For Hornets

New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon is expected to miss two to three weeks with a knee injury, according to the New York Times.

Gordon has been struggling with bruising in his right knee over the past several weeks. The injury forced Gordon to miss four games earlier in the season. The 23-year-old saw his knee swell up after Wednesday’s 93-101 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to The Times, which is why team doctors have suggested he rest the injury.

In just two games played this season Gordon is averaging 21 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Hornets. Last year for the Los Angeles Clippers, he registered a career high 22.3 points and 4.4 assists per game.

The fourth-year guard recently made headlines when he claimed that the Clippers lied to him about the potential of a trade to New Orleans.
