The Baltimore Orioles are reportedly close to signing Taiwanese pitcher Wei-Yin Chen to a multi-year deal, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

The 26-year-old hurler posted an 8-10 record in 24 starts for Chunichi in Japan last season. In 164.2 innings pitched he posted a 2.68 ERA while striking out 94 batters and walking 31. The year before he posted a 13-10 record with a 2.87 ERA and 153 strikeouts in 188 innings pitched. Chen will likely be joining a rotation featuring Jeremy Guthrie, Zach Britton, and Jake Arrieta.
