Tiger Woods will begin his PGA Tour season at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, according to the Associated Press.
Woods announced on his website today that he would attend the tournament Feb. 9-12. The golf course is the site of one of the legendary golfer’s most memorable moments, his 15-shot victory at the U.S. Open. At the time the dominant performance, set over a decade ago, was a tournament record. Rory McIlroy, however, broke that record last year. The 36–year-old golfer is still in the midst of a comeback after personal issues sent his career in a tailspin. A series of knee and Achilles injuries also kept Woods off the course for the majority of 2011.
