St. Louis Blues Former GM Ron Caron Passes Away

The St. Louis Blues former general manager, Ron Caron, passed away Monday in Montreal, according to the Associated Press.

"Mr. Caron was extremely passionate about the Blues and the city of St. Louis," Blues president of hockey operations, John Davidson said in a statement "He will truly be missed."

Caron was hired as the general manager in St. Louis in 1983. During his time with the club the Blues reached the playoffs in each of his 11 seasons as the GM. Overall, he led St. Louis to a 438-405-127 record during his career with the team.
