Ryan Madson To Reds Not Yet A Done Deal; Physical Still Pending

Ryan Madson is on the verge of becoming a Cincinnati Red, but his contract technically isn't a done deal quite yet, according to MLB.com.

Madson has reportedly agreed to a contract with one year guaranteed for $6 million, plus an $11 million option for 2013 that carries a $2.5 million buyout. But there are a couple holdups keeping the Reds from making it official -- among them, the fact that Madson is on vacation and has yet to be scheduled for a physical.

Madson was on the verge of re-signing with the Phillies earlier this offseason for four years and $44 million. The Phillies went in another direction and signed Jonathan Papelbon instead.
