Derrick Rose To Rejoin Chicago Bulls Tonight Against Boston Celtics

Derrick Rose told John Buccigross of ESPN that he will play tonight against the Boston Celtics despite the fact that he is still wearing a boot to protect his injured toe.

The league’s reining Most Valuable Player was forced to sit out a Jan. 11 game against the Washington Wizards due to a sprained left to he suffered in a 111-100 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves the night before. The Bulls were able to defeat the lowly Wizards 78-64 in his absence.

Through 11 games this season Rose has averaged 20.7 points and 8.6 assists per game for the Bulls. Chicago currently owns the best record in the Eastern Conference, standing at 10-2 on the year.
