Sal Sunseri is expected to be named as the Tennessee Volunteers new defensive coordinator, according to a tweet from Austin Ward of the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Sunseri, 52, has served as the Alabama outside linebackers coach since 2009. Prior to that he served for seven years as the defensive line coach for the Carolina Panthers. Sunseri’s last defensive coordinating experience came in 1999 when he served a two-year stint with Alabama A&M.
