Report: Rams Offer OC Position To Brian Schottenheimer

The St. Louis Rams have offered Brian Schottenheimer their offensive coordinator position under new head coach Jeff Fisher, according to CBS Sports.

Schottenheimer had recently served as the New York Jets offensive coordinator before he was reportedly asked to resign this offseason. He was quickly replaced by former Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sporano.

The Jets offense struggled in 2011 under Schottenheimer and quarterback Mark Sanchez. The team finished 8-8 on the year, missing out on the playoffs for the first time during the Rex Ryan era in New York.
