Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will pay $1.4 million for the club’s championship rings, according to the Dallas Morning News.

“Ridiculous,” he commented to the paper.

Cuban has made sure that the Mavericks championship win will be something the team remembers. Earlier this month the outspoken owner took it upon himself to schedule a team visit to the White House after the league had failed to do so. The team had originally been scheduled to play a game in Washington in an early season contest, however when the NBA lockout forced the league to cancel and reschedule games, a trip to visit Barack Obama was left out. The Mavericks finished with a 57-25 record last season before storming through the Western Conference playoffs. The club went on to defeat the Miami Heat in a six game series to claim the championship.
