Report: Browns May Trade Up To Get Robert Griffin III

A source has told NFL.com that the Cleveland Browns would like to trade up to acquire

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III with the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft.

The Browns are currently slotted to select fourth overall in the draft. While the Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Rams, two teams with picks in front of the Browns, are not expected to draft a quarterback, moving up would protect them against one of those two teams trading that pick away to another franchise.

Colt McCoy served as the Browns starting quarterback before suffering a blow to the head that forced him to miss the team’s final three games. The former Texas star posted just a 74.6 quarterback rating this season for Cleveland.
