Spilborghs his just .210/.283/.305 with three home runs in 98 games played for the Colorado Rockies last season. Just one year prior, the 32-year-old had hit .279/.360/.437 with 10 home runs in 134 games for Colorado. After signing Michael Cuddyer this offseason, it wasn’t expected that the club would move to re-sign Spilborghs, a fellow outfielder. The Rockies outfield already boasts Cuddyer, Carlos Gonzalez, Dexter Fowler, Eric Young, and Tyler Colvin.
