The 2011 Stanley Cup Champions, the Boston Bruins, are heading to the White House this morning to meet president Barack Obama.

Still recovering from an emotional and thrilliing win last night against the Flyers, which ended in a 6-5 shootout, head coach Claude Julien and his team boarded a train from Philadelphia early this morning to meet with the president for their scheduled ceremonial visit. In 2011, the Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks in a 4-3 series to claim the Stanley Cup.  Thus far this year, they are first in the Northeast Division with a record of 31-13-2.
