Free-agent outfielder Cody Ross will sign with the Boston Red Sox, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Ross, 31, hit .240/.325/.405 with 14 home runs and 52 RBIs for the San Francisco Giants in 2011. The Giants initially picked up Ross off waivers late in 2010 from the Florida Marlins, and Ross was a key contributor in the Giants’ World Series championship that season. In his eight-year career, Ross has hit .261 with 100 home runs and 371 RBIs.
