Clark will be replacing Baltimore Ravens Ed Reed who will miss the game due to an injury.  In 2011, Clark totaled 100 tackles, one sack, and one interception.

The 32-year-old safety was forced to watch from the sidelines as the Steelers were eliminated by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the playoffs this season. Clark suffers from a rare blood disorder that makes it difficult for him to play at high altitudes. The game was held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver. Along with Clark, six other Steelers were selected for the Pro Bowl including Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Mike Wallace, center Maurkice Pouncey (missing the game with an injury), safety Troy Polamalu (missing the game with an injury),  kick returner Antonio Brown and linebacker James Harrison.
