The Toronto Blue Jays have signed reliever Francisco Cordero to a one-year, $4.5 million deal to serve as their set-up man, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

Cordero, 36, has served as a closer in the MLB for the past 10 seasons averaging 30 saves per year. Last season as the closer for the Red Cordero posted 37 saves with a 2.45 ERA. Over the course of his career he has posted 30-or-more saves seven times, and 40-or-more saves three times.
