The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired center Brendan Morrison from the Calgary Flames in exchange for minor league defenseman Brian Connelly, according to the Associated Press.

Morrison, a 36-year-old veteran, had spent the past two seasons with the Flames; he played previously for New Jersey, Vancouver, Anaheim, Dallas and Washington. He's compiled 200 goals and 601 points in his 15-year career. Connely, 25, went undrafted in 2009. He had spent the previous four seasons with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs.
