The New York Knicks are still in the hunt to acquire former Nets and Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin, according to SNY New York.
Andy Miller, Martin’s agent, notified SNY via a text message that Martin will make his decision “by week’s end.”
Martin cannot join an NBA team until Feb. 16, when his former Chinese team finishes their season. The former top overall pick signed with the Chinese team during the NBA lockout. Apart from the Knicks, Martin could land in Miami, Los Angeles (Clippers), San Antonio, or Atlanta. Playing 48 games last season with the Nuggets, Martin averaged 8.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
