Danny Clyburn Jr., a former MLB baseball player for the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, was found  dead in his front yard this morning, reports the Lancaster Herald.

According to Police reports, Derrick Lamont Mcilwain, 36, and Clyburn had been arguing in front of Clyburn’s home when a shot was fired. Later this morning Mcilwain was arrested and is being charged with murder and possession of a weapon. He will remain at the Lancaster detention center until a bond hearing has taken place.

"He was a good son," Danny Clyburn Sr. said of his son, according to the Herald, "He tried hard to stay on top, always tried. He worked hard in baseball." Clyburn was an outfielder for the three seasons in the majors, two with the Orioles and one with the Devil Rays. He played in 41 games and hit four home runs during his MLB career and posted a .211 batting average.
