In a conversation with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Kobe Bryant said that he would not leave the Los Angeles Lakers in search of another championship ring.

“Why would I want to go somewhere else, that ship sailed in (2007),” Bryant said. “If there was ever a time I was going to move to go play someplace else, that was it. I’m not going to jump ship to chase a sixth ring, it’s just not going to happen.

“It’s going to happen here or it’s not going to happen.”

Bryant, 33, is averaging 29.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per contest for the Lakers this season. Los Angeles is currently 14-11 on the season, and have lost six out of their past 10 games.
