It's been rumored for weeks that Terrell Owens was on the verge of coming out of his quasi-retirement to play for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League. Now, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it's official.

The Wranglers extended a six-figure contract offer to Owens approximately two months ago. T.O.'s agent Drew Rosenhaus and Wranglers owner Jon Frankel have been in negotiations since late November to hammer out the details. Owens, who turned 38 in December, did not play in the NFL last season. He had 72 catches for 983 yards in 2010 for the Cincinnati Bengals, then underwent surgery for a torn ACL in April 2011. He was medically cleared to play in 2011 but remained unsigned.
