Report: Titans Satisfied With Current Quarterbacks, No Manning In Near Future

Tennessee Titans general manager, Ruston Webster, told fans today that the team is satisfied with the quarterbacks they have, and that Peyton Manning won’t be heading to Tennessee any time soon, according to the Associated Press.

The Titans have a lot of cap space available in 2012 to spend on a player like Manning. However, a just last year they gave Matt Hasselbeck a three year $20 million contract and selected Jake Locker as the eighth overall draft pick. Webster asserted that the Titans are clearly looking to spend their money elsewhere.

Last season Hasselbeck threw for 3571 yards while posting an 82.4 quarterback rating. Rookie Jake Locker threw for 542 yards in five games played in his rookie season.
