The Chicago White Sox have announced that they will sign outfielder Kosuke Fukudome to a one-year, $1 million contract.

The deal will reportedly include a club option for 2013. Last year Fukudome hit .262/.342/.370 with eight home runs and 35 RBI in 146 games between the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox.  The 34-year-old was a star in Japan before signing with the Cubs in 2008.
